In Clinical Departments, you will experience how clinical teams work together to deliver patient care from beginning to end of life. Significant emphasis will be placed on preparing you for clinical practice.
What you’ll experience
The clinical training apart from various theoretical lectures on different disciplines involves rotations in clinical departments which enables the students to have hands-on real-life experiences of dealing with patients in emergency, critical care units, wards and operation theaters together with exposure on diagnostic services and interpretation of diagnostic results in correlation with clinical findings.
Our on-campus clinical skills laboratories have a vast range of equipment – including a number of high fidelity clinical human simulators – to help develop clinical skills in realistic hospital, home and GP surgery environments.
You’ll benefit from a mixture of work-based learning and clinical placements throughout your five years.
Enjoy multi-professional learning and train alongside students on other health courses, developing the key skills required to work in a healthcare team.
